Dear Americans.
Maybe we’ve landed in your Facebook feed because the algorithms recognize that, deep down, you share many of the same concerns as we do.
Something has changed. We’re hearing threats and war rhetoric coming from the US, directed at Denmark and Greenland. For us, this is completely new territory. It’s unsettling, and to be honest—it scares us.
That is why we are here. We want you to realize how this looks from our side of the pond:
to us, it feels like absolute madness. We want to help you understand that this path is unacceptable between allies.
Maybe Facebook will kick us out once they realize we’re Danish. But until then, we want to try and have a dialogue with you. What else can we do? War??? 😱
Is that really where we’re headed?
We truly thought we were your friends. 💔😢
I STAND WITH THE WHOLE 🌎
PEACE NOT PAIN!!!❤️
LOVE NOT WAR!!!❤️
As someone reflecting on the recent tensions reported between the US and Denmark, I find it deeply important to share a personal viewpoint on why peace and dialogue are essential, especially between allies who have historically trusted each other. When we hear alarming war rhetoric from a powerful nation like the US, it inevitably stirs fear and confusion among the citizens of affected countries like Denmark and Greenland. For many of us, this goes beyond politics — it’s about the heartfelt connections and shared history that make the idea of conflict feel like an absolute betrayal. From my perspective, the best way forward is through open communication and mutual respect. War should always be the last resort, and with allies, it must feel almost impossible. I’m encouraged by voices urging peace and calling for understanding, as those sentiments remind us that we are all on the same side — valuing security, friendship, and international cooperation. It’s also important to understand how social media algorithms can sometimes amplify fears by showing us content we relate to emotionally, which can distort our understanding of complex geopolitical issues. Taking a step back to consider multiple viewpoints and seeking credible information is crucial. If you are feeling scared or uncertain like many are, know that it’s normal to want reassurance and peace. Joining peaceful movements such as #YouAreMyFriendFriend or #IAmScaredForAllOfUs can be empowering ways to express solidarity and hope. Ultimately, trust and love should guide international relations, not threats and war rhetoric. Supporting each other with love, prayers, and peaceful dialogue is the true path to maintaining the strong bonds necessary for a safer world. Let's stand together for peace, not pain, and choose love over conflict.
