easy clean eating snacks!

... Read moreFinding snacks that taste amazing, are super easy to make, and actually contribute to your well-being can feel like a quest! But trust me, it's totally achievable. Beyond the delicious raw carrot salsa I can’t stop making (seriously, it’s a gut-health hero!), and those delightful dark chocolate-covered mandarin orange segments perfect for a skin-boosting treat, I've got a few more clean eating favorites that keep me energized and feeling my best. When I'm looking for something quick and satisfying, I often turn to simple fruit and nut combinations. A crisp apple sliced thin with a spoonful of almond butter (check the label for no added sugars or oils!) is a classic for a reason. It's portable, provides healthy fats and fiber, and keeps me full between meals. Another go-to is a small handful of unsalted mixed nuts like walnuts, almonds, and pecans – they’re fantastic for brain health and a great source of protein. For those busy mornings or when I need a quick protein boost, hard-boiled eggs are a lifesaver. I usually prep a batch at the start of the week. They're excellent on their own or chopped into a quick salad. And speaking of protein, don't underestimate the power of a good quality Greek yogurt, especially if you can find a plain, unsweetened one. I love adding a few fresh berries for natural sweetness and a sprinkle of chia seeds for extra fiber and omega-3s. This is also a fantastic option for a healthy snack in the evening when you want something light but filling. If you're on the go, like for an airplane trip, portability is key! That's when things like homemade trail mix (nuts, seeds, dried unsweetened fruit), pre-portioned veggie sticks (cucumber, bell peppers, carrots) with a small container of hummus, or even a couple of your high-protein cottage cheese toasts (if you can eat them within a few hours) become your best friends. They help avoid unhealthy airport food and keep your energy stable. Embracing a clean eating snack routine isn't just about what you eat, but how you feel. It's about nourishing your body with whole, unprocessed foods that make you glow from the inside out. Experiment with different combinations, keep it simple, and enjoy the journey to a healthier, happier you!

these look so yummy :) i hope you're open to some criticism on your phrasing - with an uptick in cases of orthorexia, it'd be great to replace "clean eating" with something that doesn't moralize food/put foods in boxes of clean, dirty, good, bad. but anyway, can't wait to make these!
