pregnancy days

This is a a rant from my first pregnancy! When I left school when I was pregnant with my son. It’s like I was the last person on earth socially. No one texted me to check on me. No one asked me to hang out. “if you want to you can come” type shit. I. Was. Casted out. ( now i had 2 girls and my nonbinary friend whom I ranted to every day and they did listen.) But they were not me and did not know what I was going through.

They all had jobs so they were working my entire pregnancy. Most of my friends were at my baby shower but besides the big events. I was alone, It was me and my baby and that’s why I think I’m so attached to him now and not ready to go back to work(everyone except my husband is pushing me back to work he wants me to be comfortable and he says if i’m okay with the baby i’m okay with the baby he also said daycare would be my whole paycheck and atp he was over the conversation.)

Back to the rant. I was in the house in my bedroom the entire summer, Now Duh I couldn’t do much because I was pregnant but one of my close friends now feels like if the people I say were my friends were my friends they would have made an effort to come see me more during my pregnancy. Especially the ones whom I went to school with and lived close to me. ( WALKING DISTANCE) She was more upset than me when I told her how I spent my summer pregnant.

Now I am not mad at them that’s why they are still people I talk too. I also understand I got pregnant young and they were young and turnt okay. So I don’t let my anger and emotions affect how I see them as people. But humanly they do affect who I call my friend. But I am more sad than anything because it has showed me who really cared and really loved me. It has showed me what people mean by those that want too will. Because it’s not like they stopped hanging with each other. I have friends and the ones I do have I am extremely grateful for but since moving away from my hometown I am ready to start over and I do not care who I have to stop talking to honestly. I’m now okay with being alone. It’s actually healthier for me.

Also psa if you see this and you know who it is. Please don’t get offended Im entitled to how I feel and I didn’t come to you because one, I simply do not blame you and, two I love and care for you and, three I don’t want you to think i’m angry at you or anything because I am not. Like I said above yall were young and turnt and I got pregnant young

Moral of this, Wish I knew more teen moms lol.

... Read morePregnancy can be a deeply isolating experience, especially for young mothers. Social dynamics shift dramatically as friends continue their lives while pregnant individuals often find themselves at home. Many young moms echo feelings of loneliness and the sense that friendships may fade during pivotal life changes. As a result, a strong support network becomes vital. Online communities, support groups, and local parenting classes offer invaluable resources where mothers can connect, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. Understanding the common struggles, such as the desire for companionship during pregnancy and the complexities of returning to work post-baby, can provide essential context for nurturing relationships. Additionally, encouraging open conversations about feelings during pregnancy can break down barriers and foster understanding, creating a more empathetic environment. Embracing the journey of motherhood, with all its ups and downs, allows for personal growth and the development of deeper connections with those who truly matter. Don't hesitate to seek out fellow moms who relate to your experience—having a community can alleviate isolation and lead to friendships that stand the test of time.
