GLP1 8 week coming in
Another milestone reached, one step at a time...👣 if you are on the glp1 journey, did you have any side-effects? What scares you the most about weightloss ? 🙈For me it's definitely loose skin !

Wow, hitting the 8-week mark on my Mounjaro (tirzepatide) journey feels like such a huge milestone! It's incredible to look back and see the progress. This past "week 7" leading up to my "injection number eight" has been particularly reflective. I'm thrilled to share that I've officially "lost 19 pounds" and am now at "200 lbs". It's not just about the numbers, though; my sugar levels have been incredibly stable, and I'm feeling a general sense of well-being that I haven't experienced in years. Like many, my journey hasn't been entirely without bumps. I did experience a "headache" during the first 48 hours after some of my initial injections, which was a bit of a drag, but thankfully, it wasn't debilitating. I found that staying extra hydrated really helped. The only time I truly felt "sick" was the one time I confess I "overate" – a clear lesson that Mounjaro really makes you listen to your body's signals of fullness. It’s a powerful tool for mindful eating, making it easier to avoid those uncomfortable overstuffed feelings. One big fear that stays with me, even with this amazing progress, is the concern about loose skin. It's something I know many people face after significant weight loss. I'm trying to be proactive by focusing on good nutrition, staying well-hydrated, and building muscle through light resistance training, hoping it will help my skin adapt. If anyone has tips or experiences with managing loose skin while on a GLP-1, I'd love to hear them! Looking ahead, my next big goal is to finally join the 'One-derland club' – that feeling of seeing a '1' at the start of my weight on the scale! It feels so much more achievable now than it ever did before. For anyone else on their GLP-1 journey, especially around the 8-week mark, here are a few things I've learned: Consistency is Key: Don't miss your weekly injection. It keeps the medication working optimally. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate: This helps with potential side effects like headaches and can also curb hunger. Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to hunger cues and feelings of fullness. Mounjaro helps, but conscious effort is still important. Prioritize Protein: This helps maintain muscle mass during weight loss and keeps you feeling satisfied. Talk to Your Doctor: If side effects are severe or you have concerns, always reach out to your healthcare provider. Celebrate Milestones: Even small victories like a good week or a new personal best can keep you motivated. This journey is truly "one step at a time," and I'm grateful for the support and shared experiences within this community. Keep going, everyone!

I'm type 2 on Mounjaro it been 9 weeks I haven't lost a single pound yet. My weight is 174 so I'm guessing that why. My goal weight is 118 lbs
