As of recently, I’ve decided to take content creation a lot more seriously. It’s not just about sharing beauty tips or product reviews for me—it’s my personal, public diary and a way to document my glow-up! 🌟 Stepping outside my comfort zone, I reached out to beauty brands hoping to collaborate and grow my network. I was SO nervous, but you know what? Touchland actually got back to me! While they don’t have opportunities for the new Hello Kitty collab right now (😭), they said they’ll reach out if things change. 🙌🏽 Honestly, I’m just proud that I even took that step, and this is just the beginning!
If you’re a fellow creator, don’t be afraid to shoot your shot. Reach out to the brands you love—you never know what could happen! 💌 I’ve shared the brand emails in the pictures above to help get you started! Fingers crossed for what’s next, and I can’t wait to keep sharing more of my glow-up journey with you all. 💖

... Read moreStarting your journey as a content creator and dreaming of collaborating with your favorite brands like E.L.F. Cosmetics or Good Molecules? Getting those coveted PR emails, like elfpartners@elfcosmetics.com or pr@goodmolecules.com, is just the first step! The real magic happens when you craft an email that truly stands out. Based on my own experience, and what I've learned from reaching out to brands like NYX and Touchland, here’s how you can make your pitch irresistible.
First, let's talk about the subject line. This is your first impression, so make it count! Avoid generic phrases. Instead, try something concise yet intriguing, like "Collaboration Inquiry: [Your Name/Niche] x [Brand Name]" or "Content Creator Partnership Idea for [Brand Name] - [Your Name]." This immediately tells them who you are and why you're emailing.
Next, the body of your email needs to be compelling. Begin with a brief, enthusiastic introduction. Who are you, and what kind of content do you create? More importantly, why their brand? Show genuine appreciation and knowledge of their products. For instance, if you're emailing Olipop, mention a specific flavor you love and how it fits your healthy lifestyle content. If it's SKIMS, talk about how their pieces elevate your fashion aesthetic.
Then, articulate what you bring to the table. Don't just ask for free products; explain the value you offer. Talk about your audience demographics, engagement rates, and unique content style. Do you create high-quality photography, engaging video tutorials, or authentic reviews? Highlight your strengths! This is where your passion for creating and sharing, as I mentioned in my own journey, truly shines through.
Clearly state your collaboration idea. Are you proposing a sponsored post, a product review series, a giveaway, or something else entirely? Be specific about what you envision. This shows you've thought seriously about the partnership and aren't just sending out a blanket request. You can even suggest how your content could boost interest in a specific product, like the Butter Gloss from NYX or the Power Grip Primer from E.L.F. Cosmetics.
Always include a call to action at the end. What do you want them to do next? "I'd love to schedule a brief chat to discuss this further," or "I've attached my media kit for your review and welcome any feedback." And speaking of media kits, ensure yours is polished and professional. It should include your follower count, engagement rates, audience demographics, previous brand collaborations, and a link to your portfolio or best work. This is your digital resume!
Finally, follow-up, but don't pester. If you don't hear back within a week or two, a polite follow-up email is acceptable. Sometimes, emails get lost in busy inboxes. However, respect their decision if they decline or don't respond after a couple of attempts. My own experience with Touchland, getting a 'not right now' but a promise to keep me in mind, taught me that persistence and patience truly pay off. Keep creating, keep refining your pitch, and keep shooting your shot. Every email is a step forward in your glow-up journey!
