At the Center 🫶
Yes, I believe in God.
Yes, I want to have a relationship with God.
No, I’m not perfect.
Nor will I ever be.
We moved in 2021 from south Florida to central Florida, and even though it hasn’t been easy… to this day… this was one of the best decision we have ever made.
We recently (very recently) parted ways with the church we have been at since we moved up here. Something was wrong there, it always felt off. But my girls were doing good there - until they weren’t. But for me, it never felt like home. Ever.
Galatians 6:4 talks about comparison - and as you may know the statement “Comparison is the thief of joy.” Well yea! It is. We went to and were leaders in our church down South for (gosh) 15,16 years?? Something like that! When you are somewhere for THAT long you are going to compare. It’s just human nature.
So now what?
We go somewhere new. And we may not find the place on the first try. And you know what? That’s ok too. When we moved up here we should have found the place for us. We didn’t really look too much. And we should have, but it’s never too late to start again (that’ll speak - but later)
I was not raised in the church. My husband was. But not me. God was not who I was raised with, it was a choice. I MADE. No one pushed me into. No one coerced me into it. I had an encounter with God and that was that.
This “religious entry” may not be your cup of tea this morning, and that’s ok, but you’re reading my journal and these are the things I deal with and write at times.
Stay strong, like your morning cup of coffee!
