decisions, decisions.

People have to make decisions in life. Everyday. Decisions on whether they wanna wake up early to work out, what to eat for the day, decisions to just be kind.

Personally and lately - if I see there is a situation that will put me in a place where I cannot be kind or I may hurt someone - I will simply make the decision to keep my mouth shut. The person I refuse to speak to because I am in my feelings may not understand why I am avoiding them - but I know. I know I may be mean or catty and instead of doing that… I will avoid. Avoid, avoid, avoid. And this is because I made a decision not to say something that will have lasting impacts for a temporary feeling.

So yea, I’ll say quiet because it beats the other option.

Ahhh, decisions! You gotta make ‘em!

Saving my relationships with people one unspoken word at a time.

... Read moreLife is full of decisions that shape our paths and relationships. The process of decision-making involves weighing the potential consequences against our values and feelings. In moments of conflict, choosing silence can often be a more powerful option than speaking impulsively. This conscious choice can help maintain interpersonal harmony and avoid unnecessary hurt. Learning when to engage and when to hold back takes practice and self-awareness. It's important to recognize situations where our feelings might cloud our judgment, leading us to say things we might regret later. Developing emotional intelligence plays a key role in navigating these complex choices. By practicing mindfulness and reflecting on the true motivation behind our reactions, we can make more informed decisions that foster kindness and understanding. Furthermore, surrounding ourselves with supportive individuals can help us through the decision-making process. Engaging in open dialogues about feelings and experiences creates a safe space where we can explore alternatives thoughtfully. Ultimately, the aim is to foster relationships that are grounded in respect and empathy, proving that sometimes, the decisions we don’t speak about are just as significant as those we do. Such insights encourage personal growth and help us evolve into better communicators and friends.
