Youtube tips you need to know (beginner friendly)
Hello all! Content creation can be super overwhelming to start and get the right tools for. So here are a few things you should have and know before you start.
1. GET A CAMERA📸
Of course this is the most obvious one but I still want to put this out there. You do not need an extravagant/expensive camera🙅🏽♀️❌. Start off with what you already have A PHONE. No excuses on you “not having enough money for a camera when you have one right there in the palm of your hands☺️
2. EDITING SOFTWARE💻
There are plenty of editing softwares out there to use that are inexpensive/free. Don’t worry I know a lot of us are on budgets 😂 so I will list some editing softwares down below.
Phone editing software📱
-CapCut (free)
- IMovie (free)
-Cutecut (free)
- Adobe premiere rush
-splice
-filomora (free)
Laptop editing software
- Sony Vegas pro (I use this)
-davinci resolve
- Wondershare
-Final cut pro
3. POST CONSISTENTLY
Y’all please don’t go into content creation thinking it’s going to happen over night. Anyone who makes you think that it will is LYING TO YOUU! It takes consistency and hard work. Don’t get discouraged just keep posting🫶🏽
4. DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF
Comparison is the thief of joy. Do not look at other people’s success and compare it to yours. YOUR TIME WILL COME!
5. DO NOT BE OBSESSED OVER LIKES AND VIEWS
I can’t express this point ENOUGHHHHHH. This will literally kill your motivation to continue to do YouTube (trust me Ik😔). YouTube views fluctuate and will not stay the same. So if one of your video does better than the other ITS OK Like I said before just KEEP POSTING.
6. HAVE FUN
Please please have fun. Don’t look at this as a chore look at it as a hobby

Getting started on YouTube can be daunting, but knowing some key tips can make all the difference. First, investing in basic equipment is crucial, but it doesn’t need to be expensive; even your smartphone can be a great start. Next, editing software plays a vital role in polishing your videos. Tools like CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, and Sony Vegas Pro are perfect for beginners without breaking the bank. Consistency is king in the realm of content creation. Uploading regularly helps to build an audience, as it establishes a rhythm and keeps your followers engaged. Remember, it’s important not to fall into the trap of comparison. Everyone’s journey on YouTube is unique, and measuring your success against others can lead to discouragement. Additionally, focusing too much on likes and views can stifle your creativity. While understanding your analytics is helpful, using them as your only motivation can harm your passion for content creation. Rather, view YouTube as a creative outlet and enjoy the process. Lastly, don’t forget to have fun! Making videos should be a source of joy and self-expression, so keep exploring your interests and let your personality shine. Happy creating!
