Why Studying Literature Is My Peace 📚☕️🕯️

1. It Gives Me A Sense Of Purpose.

My person just honestly feels in tune with studying literature. I feel it’s my gateway to join the human connection—to understand and celebrate the stories and lives of others.

2. It Helps Guides Me In This Crazy Wilderness We Call The World.

I believe art, true art, helps lead and guide us through this crazy place we call the world. It gives me glasses that help me better understand the psychology of those around me and the philosophy I sensed around me before but never seemed to grasp fully.

3. It Distracts Me.

As a Christian I fully believe the scripture of Proverbs 16:27 “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece.” To be honest I don’t think you have to be a Christian to agree that that scripture is just a bit too right on the matter. When humans get bored they’ll do anything for fun even awful things like destroy themselves or others. This is why I’m not against books that are purely entertainment like Booktok rom-coms or young adult fantasy or even those cheesy mystery books that I also really like; read what you like. I’m in full support of being distracted by just entertainment when you’re in still moments of your life.
