Live By Faith

2 Corinthians 5:7 “For we live by faith, not by sight.” is a bold reminder that our journey with God isn’t about seeing the full picture — it’s about trusting Him even when we can’t. Life often places us in moments of uncertainty, where the path ahead is unclear and the steps feel shaky. But walking by faith means choosing to believe in God's promises, even when we can't see how they’ll unfold. It means relying on His truth over our emotions, His word over our fears, and His plan over our understanding. When we live by faith, we’re not walking blindly — we’re walking confidently, knowing that the One who leads us is faithful and good. This kind of trust doesn't remove the storms, but it gives us peace in the midst of them.

Walking by sight, on the other hand, can quickly become a distraction. When we base our direction on what we see — the circumstances, the obstacles, the opinions of others — we can lose focus on God’s bigger picture. Sight can make us doubt, hesitate, or chase after temporary things that look appealing but don’t satisfy our souls. Faith keeps our eyes on eternity; sight often pulls us into fear or confusion. That’s why we’re called to walk by faith — because what’s seen is temporary, but what’s unseen is eternal.
