"Hey, my cat's doing this weird thing..." becomes a common phrase in our social circles. It's not always glamorous, let's be honest. The pay for vet techs doesn't always reflect the incredible skill, knowledge, and emotional labor they put in. Seeing my partner pour their heart and soul into their work, often for long hours and under stressful conditions, has given me immense respect for the profession. It can lead to burnout, and supporting them through those periods is crucial.
