Using done-for-you coloring pages and a step-by-step KDP setup, I was able to create something real without starting from scratch.

Now I just wish I didn’t wait so long.

Starting a passive income stream using Canva and Amazon KDP might seem daunting at first, but based on my experience, it’s surprisingly accessible for anyone willing to take the first step. The moment I realized my Canva designs were generating sales, it became clear that creating and selling coloring books can be a simple yet effective way to monetize creativity without needing a large following or advanced skills. What helped me the most was using done-for-you coloring pages combined with a step-by-step KDP setup. These ready-made resources removed much of the intimidation that comes with starting from scratch. By uploading these designs as coloring books on Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing platform, I was able to reach a vast audience with minimal upfront costs. From my journey, I learned that consistency matters more than perfection. Instead of waiting to build a huge business or a strong social media presence, I focused on creating and publishing regularly. This approach allowed me to gradually increase my sales and build passive income over time. For anyone looking to replicate this success, here are some tips: always research trending themes and niches for coloring books, optimize your book listings with relevant keywords to improve visibility, and continuously experiment with different designs and formats to see what resonates with buyers. Most importantly, don’t overcomplicate the process. Starting with simple Canva designs and using tools provided by KDP can be an excellent gateway to generating income while maintaining flexibility.
