Took a day to explore one of Colorado’s most iconic 14ers and it did not disappoint. Sweeping alpine views, crisp air, and that feeling of being tiny in the best way. 🌲✨
Some things I didn’t expect:
— There’s a full summit visitor center (hot cocoa at the top is elite)
— The drive up is breathtaking (but not for the faint of heart 😅)
— You can literally feel the elevation shift in your body — a great reminder to hydrate + ground on the way up
🌬️ Pro tip: bring layers — it’s easily 30° cooler at the summit
💧 We packed electrolytes + snacks to help with altitude
📸 And yes… the photos don’t even come close to doing it justice
Feeling recharged and so grateful to live near places like this.
