📅 How I Master My Calendar as a Corporate Girl💼

If my calendar isn’t in order, neither is my brain. Here’s how I use it to actually save my sanity at work:

1️⃣ Time-blocking = focus unlocked

I block out “deep work” sessions the same way I block meetings. If it’s not on the calendar, it doesn’t happen.

2️⃣ Color coding for clarity 🎨

• Blue = internal meetings

• Green = external/B2B meetings

• Yellow = focus time

• Pink = personal / reminders

Just one glance and I know what my energy needs to look like that day.

3️⃣ Buffer zones ⏳

I add 10–15 min before and after big meetings to prep, grab water, and debrief. No more sprinting from Zoom to Zoom.

4️⃣ Recurring sanity blocks 🧘🏻‍♀️

Weekly “catch-up” time on Fridays + daily “inbox zero” slot = less stress and fewer surprises.

5️⃣ Set boundaries with your calendar 🚫

Declining or suggesting new times is not rude—it’s survival. If I see a 5pm Friday meeting pop up, I counter with Monday morning.

6️⃣ End-of-day reset 🔄

Before I log off, I check tomorrow’s calendar, move tasks if needed, and mentally prep so I’m not panicking overnight.

✨ A well-managed calendar = balance

Buffer zones are SO necessary. I used to feel like a ping-pong ball bouncing between meetings. This is a lifesaver!
