With Rare Beauty's new satin matte foundation, I was intrigued by its promise of a lightweight feel and a flawless satin matte finish. My experience with shade 15, the light medium neutral (neutral beige), was quite positive, primarily because the formula balanced coverage and comfort exceptionally well. What I appreciated most was how this foundation didn’t feel heavy or cakey on my skin. The satin matte texture gave a natural look with just enough glow to avoid the dreaded flat matte appearance, which I often find unflattering. Applying it with the provided beauty sponge and the makeup spatula was convenient, and I noticed the formula blended seamlessly, reducing redness and evening out my complexion nicely. I’m especially picky about how foundations work throughout the day, and this one held up well without feeling dry or too oily. The coverage was buildable, allowing me to conceal minor imperfections while keeping a fresh, breathable finish.
