Honestly, I have no idea how I’m gonna put this into words. I absolutely loved and devoured this book. It only took me a day and a half. I just cannot put it down. The amount of plot twist had me absolutely on the edge of my seat.
First, you have a sweet curvy FMC – therapist who has a love for fixing broken things. Who also loves seeing the red flags and putting on rose colored glasses. She’s one of the most relatable characters I have seen. While also knowing and sharing her own struggles throughout the book. She makes no apologies for taking up space. I absolutely love it.
Next, you have a big strong, EX military soldier who came out even more twisted than he went in. After escaping a cult and abuse that he was born into. Leaving his little sister behind in the hands of a cult that had taken so much from him. My love for Jagger has honestly grown throughout the book. After finally seeing the air of his ways and hurting the ones he loves. He finally decides to get help seeing a therapist and opening up about his trauma/ past.Not only that after he gets help and finally gets sober for the FMC.
Now, if you’re not into spice /sexual 🌶️, this may not be the book for you, but I absolutely loved it. I do believe there is about 3 to 5 spicy scenes in this book and they do go into graphic detail. (There might be a chasing scene or two!!) With all that being said, they are not just thrown in there. They are perfectly placed amongst the plot and just add to it. Chefs kiss 😘
