Grateful!

t’s okay if you’re still renting.

It’s okay if you don’t have fancy furniture, brand clothes, or all the things social media says you should have.

I’m grateful I can buy groceries, pay my rent, and help my son go to college. That, to me, is a blessing.

And if you’re doing the same — you’re doing better than you think.

What’s not okay is judging or making people feel small for where they are in life. Some of us know what it feels like to have nothing… so this right here feels like luxury.

... Read moreLiving a life where you can afford essentials like a roof over your head and groceries on the table is something many of us take for granted but truly is a form of luxury. From my own experience, embracing gratitude for these seemingly small blessings shifts perspective and brings peace amid life’s uncertainties. I remember times when stable housing and regular meals felt out of reach, and now, being able to provide these for myself and my family feels like real wealth. It’s important to recognize that social media often paints a picture of success tied to material possessions—designer clothes, upscale homes, and lavish lifestyles. However, reality is quite different for many, and societal pressure to “keep up” can be overwhelming. What stands out to me is the need to resist judging others based on their current situation. Whether you're renting or unable to afford luxury items, being able to meet your basic needs without fear is something to celebrate. Many single parents, like myself, juggle multiple responsibilities while trying to secure a better future for their children. The fact that I can help my son go to college while maintaining our home and paying bills is a victory worth acknowledging. Gratitude doesn’t mean complacency—it fuels motivation to improve while fostering empathy for others. If you feel like you’re struggling, remember that doing your best with what you have is already a sign of strength. Life isn’t about perfect appearances but about resilience, kindness, and appreciating what truly matters. Choosing to see your current circumstances as a foundation rather than a limitation transforms the way you experience life’s challenges and successes alike. By sharing our stories and supporting each other instead of comparing or judging, we create communities that nurture growth, understanding, and genuine well-being. Ultimately, feeling rich is less about possessions and more about gratitude for the simple but essential aspects of life that sustain us every day.

How i lost 71 lbs!
I was 190lbs and went down to 119 lbs in 3 years! It was a long process, but i had made a promise to myself to work on being healthy (not that weight has anything to do with how healthy you are, but in my case it did) physically and mentally. I used to deal with a binge eating disorder, depressio
