I don’t know who needs to hear this, but family travel isn’t always calm, curated, or cute.
We still have meltdowns.
Like yesterday- one of my kids screamed at the top of her lungs for 15 straight minutes.
My girls still argue with each other.
Travel days often mean we’re all a little more tired, a little more stressed… and yes, sometimes I lose my temper and don’t parent the way I wish I had in that moment.
Sometimes our life probably looks picture-perfect from the outside—but just know we have hard days too. I just don’t usually film them.
The truth is: we have hard moments at home, and we have hard moments while traveling. And we’re also incredibly lucky to live the life we do. Both things can be true.
For me, it’s about acknowledging and validating that life isn’t perfect… then holding gratitude for the good, and looking for the bright spots even in the tough moments.
If this feels familiar, drop a ❤️
And follow along for honest family travel—messy days included.
