Most people thought she was ignoring the world
Most people thought she was ignoring the world around her…
But now I understand she was regulating 💜
The rocking.
The comfort items.
The sounds.
The routines.
What looked “random” to other people was actually helping her feel safe all along.
This page is where I share our real autism journey:
✨ routines
✨ sensory regulation
✨ transitions
✨ motherhood
✨ learning Bella’s world one day at a time
Welcome to Bella’s world 💜🌸
Living with and caring for someone on the autism spectrum offers profound insights into the importance of sensory regulation. From my own experience, what may look like a child or individual ignoring the world is often their way of finding balance and comfort amid overwhelming stimuli. Techniques such as rocking, using specific comfort items, or listening to familiar sounds aren't random behaviors; they are essential tools that help regulate sensory input and create a safe environment. For instance, consistent routines provide predictability, which reduces anxiety and makes transitions easier. I've learned that when Bella follows her routines and uses her preferred sensory tools, she is much more at ease and responsive to the world around her. This journey has deepened my understanding of autism beyond common misconceptions, highlighting the necessity of patience and empathy. Sharing these real-life experiences aims to shed light on the everyday challenges and joys of parenting and supporting someone with autism. Each element—whether it’s a comforting sound, a repetitive movement like rocking, or a favorite item—plays a critical role in emotional safety and sensory regulation. Recognizing and respecting these needs not only helps build a closer connection but also fosters a more inclusive and supportive environment.

My son was like that, Rocking, tapping and toy keeper, But now the clock turns differently with time, He behaved differently, communicative , no comfort item and all the behaviors stop. God is Good, thanks for showing ur journey 😊
