Soft goth glam ❤️🔥🦇⛓️💥
Follow along with me as I create this soft goth inspired glam, perfect for every day wear. This is always a great chance for me to test out new products alongside some of my all time favorites!
Lately I’ve been loving the Aora Mexico Inicia primer for creating the most incredibly dewy base, even beneath foundation and setting powder! And in my quest to create the perfect day-time vampy lip, I rediscovered one of my all time favorite lipsticks which is sadly no longer made: Seismic by Urban Decay, a sheer electric purple that I lined with black for an edgy effect. #lemon8challenge #lemon8badgehunt #makeupoftheday #gothmua #softgoth
Okay, so you're ready to dive deeper into the world of 'soft goth glam' – a look I absolutely adore because it blends that edgy, mysterious vibe with an everyday wearability. It's not about full-on theatrical goth makeup, but rather a subtle nod with darker tones, a touch of drama, and a focus on beautiful skin. You know, that effortlessly cool, slightly mysterious aesthetic. Beyond my beloved Aora Mexico Inicia primer for that incredible dewy base and my quest for the perfect vampy lip, there's so much more to creating a cohesive soft goth glam look. For me, it starts with the canvas. After my primer, I opt for a medium-coverage foundation that gives a natural, almost ethereal finish – nothing too heavy. I find that a hint of cool-toned contour under the cheekbones can really sculpt the face without being too dramatic, giving that slightly sharper, more defined look often associated with gothic aesthetics. When it comes to eyes, I usually keep things simple but impactful. A smudge of dark brown or charcoal grey eyeshadow along the lash line, blended softly, creates depth without being a full smoky eye. Then, a sharp, winged eyeliner is almost non-negotiable for me; it adds that classic edgy touch. And of course, lashings of mascara! Sometimes, I'll even add a touch of a subtle shimmer in a cool silver or deep plum to the inner corner or center of the lid for a bit of dimension. Now, let's talk about those lips again! Since my beloved Urban Decay Seismic is long gone, I've had to get creative. If you're looking for alternatives to achieve that sheer electric purple look, I highly recommend exploring sheer plum lipsticks or even a deep berry stain with a clear gloss over top. Another trick is to use a black or dark plum lip liner to define the shape and then fill in with a slightly lighter, vampy lipstick, blurring the edges for a softer effect. Think deep mauves, blackened reds, or even a muted oxblood. The key is that it's rich and dark, but not necessarily opaque or harsh, keeping it 'soft.' To complete the 'soft goth GLAM' vibe, I often finish with a translucent setting powder to keep everything in place, especially around the T-zone, while letting that dewy primer shine through elsewhere. And don't forget the brows – defined, but not overly drawn, to frame the face beautifully. It’s all about balance: combining elements like a dark lip or winged liner with fresh skin and soft blending. This look truly makes me feel put-together and confident, striking that perfect balance between edgy and elegant for any day of the week. It’s amazing how a few key products and techniques can transform your everyday makeup into something truly special.
