Righteous In Process

Understanding that righteousness is not a prerequisite for belonging to God is a powerful realization. Many people feel pressured to have everything figured out spiritually before they can truly belong or be accepted. But the truth is, God’s love and acceptance are unconditional and immediate. He does not wait for you to reach spiritual maturity to claim you as His own. Instead, He calls you in your current state, allowing you to grow while being right with Him. In my own faith journey, I found relief in embracing the fact that correction is not rejection or abandonment. Being a work in progress does not diminish your worth or your place in God’s family. The concept that "growth doesn’t cancel righteousness" encourages believers to pursue continual development without fear of losing their identity in Christ. Patience is a crucial aspect of this spiritual process—not only God’s patience with us but also our patience with ourselves. Many Christians struggle with the idea of perfection, but faith is more about progress than perfection. Trusting that God sees you as righteous now, even while you are maturing, helps reduce anxiety and guilt, allowing a healthier spiritual walk. Moreover, embracing this mindset fosters a more compassionate attitude towards others’ journeys. Recognizing that correction is a sign of God's loving guidance, not rejection, helps build supportive communities that nurture growth rather than judge shortcomings. Remember, being "in process" reflects life’s dynamic spiritual nature. It is an ongoing journey where each step closer to God brings greater understanding and peace. So no matter where you are on your path, you are embraced by God’s mercy and grace—hearing clearly that you are righteous in the process.
