I tried making this Salty Canadian Coffee recipe at home after seeing it shared online, and it was surprisingly delightful! Starting with a hot lungo helps create a strong base, but adding butter and maple syrup provides a smooth richness and natural sweetness that you won't expect in a coffee drink. The pinch of salt is subtle but really enhances the flavor balance, cutting through the sweetness and bringing out the espresso notes. One tip I found helpful is using a quality cold milk—oat or almond milk works beautifully—for a creamier texture when poured over ice. Frothing the butter into the hot espresso until completely dissolved ensures an even blend without oily separation. I also enjoyed sprinkling a little extra salt on top as a finishing touch, which adds a nice twist. This drink is perfect when you want something refreshing yet satisfying, especially on warm days when a hot coffee doesn't appeal. The combination of ingredients might sound unusual at first, but it’s a fantastic way to experience new coffee flavors. Give it a try and tweak the maple syrup amount to suit your sweetness preference. It’s a delicious Canadian twist on traditional espresso that’s worth sharing with fellow coffee enthusiasts!
