My 'Cat-therapy' At A Co-working Space

As someone who grew up as a 'dog person' with several pet pups throughout my childhood, I wasn't sure what to expect walking into meownistryofmeow, but one thing's for sure, I walked out believing that 'cat-therapy' works. My heart felt so full leaving the place. 🥹

There's something oddly therapeutic about having cats as company. No expectations, no judgements, just existing in that very moment and taking it slow.

In case the title wasn't obvious, meownistryofmeow is a co-working space with a twist! They're also a 'cat-living space' for rescued cats to live and (hopefully) find their forever home. [Swipe to the 5th pic to see the cats up for adoption].

We arrived at about 1:40 pm, which I learned from the staff was their nap time. (fun fact: Did you know cats sleep 70% off the time?) We walked in on all them snuggled in their own nooks. They let us pet them while they slept, and some of them even came up to us out of curiosity! 🥹 I wanted to do some work at the lounge, but I ended up spending 80% off my time petting all of them! No regrets, tho. I felt my stress melt away with every stroke of their fur, hahahah. 🐈

Since all of the cats here are rescued, some of them might still have some trauma from their previous lifestyle, so if you're planning to visit, please be mindful of the kitties. We were given a kind reminder to treat the felines with respect and to not carry or handle the cats with force. A couple of the cuties were so sweet. They came to us on their own, and one even crawled into my lap! 😭😭

Besides the cat lounge, we also tried their private room on the 3rd floor! [swipe to the 3rd pic] The private room includes console games (Nintendo switch), a karaoke system, comfy sofas, and a hammock. Ngl, their karaoke system was actually better than some ktv places out there with a good variety of songs, too! They had all the popular switch games, too, like Overcooked, Mario Kart, the Taiko drum game (our personal fav), and more! The room accommodates up to 10 pax, so it's actually a steal if you're coming as a group! There's an additional fee for extra pax and different prices for weekdays and weekends. [scroll down for the price list]

Overall thoughts 💭

I really liked the chill environment of the place, it didnt have the cat smell that i was expecting and the whole place was very clean to me. The cats looked comfortable, which i guess is the most telltale sign of a good cat shelter. Honestly, I think even non catlovers would be able to appreciate this place. It's quiet and zen, and a great place to chill.

Meownistry of Meow | Cat-friendly co-working

... Read moreVisiting Meownistry of Meow was such a refreshing and joyous experience for me. Beyond just working alongside adorable cats, the environment is thoughtfully designed to promote relaxation and positive vibes. The cats are all rescues, and it’s heartwarming knowing that they have a safe, loving space to live while they wait for their forever homes. I learned that cat naps make up about 70% of their day—a fun insight that made me appreciate their calm demeanor even more. If you’re thinking about visiting, keep in mind that some kitties might still be overcoming past traumas, so gentle interactions are key. Watching one cat voluntarily crawl into my lap was truly special and made me forget all my stress. The cat lounge is spotless and doesn’t have any unpleasant smells, which can be a concern for some. It felt serene and zen—a great spot not just for cat lovers, but also anyone needing a peaceful retreat to recharge or get some work done. Meownistry also offers a private room equipped with popular Nintendo Switch games and a karaoke system—something I didn’t expect but found delightful. It’s perfect for group hangouts or a fun break from work. The rates are reasonable and transparency about pricing for different time passes and group sizes makes planning easy. For those who want a unique take on cat therapy or a quiet, cozy workspace, I highly recommend checking out Meownistry of Meow at 4A Jalan Klapa, Singapore. It’s more than just a co-working space—it’s a community that supports rescue cats and fosters a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
