The best books I’ve read so far this year ✨📚

My goal for 2025 was to become a reader & so far I’ve read 31 books! If you’re a new reader into romance & fantasy, here are some of my favorites I’ve read on this new journey

•Done & Dusted- this is makes all your cowboy dreams come true😍 brothers best friend with a western twist, you’ll be obsessed with. Definitely on the spicy side so if you’re not into that skip this one! I’m on the waitlist for Swift & Saddled and I’m very excited to read it after how much I loved this one!

•The Dagger and the Flame- this one felt different from all the other fantasy books I’ve read. While Fourth Wing is still my favorite, this was an enemies to lovers with some twists!

•Nora Goes off Script- one of my best friends recommended this & I couldn’t put it down. A sweet & heart warming read that you’ll fly through!

•This Woven Kingdom- I’ve actually read the first 3 in this series now with this one being my favorite! The 4th book comes out later this year so you’ll have time to get caught up before then!

Let me know if you have any romance or fantasy recommendations for this newbie reader 🤗

... Read moreStepping into 2025 with a goal to read more has been such an incredible journey, and I’m so excited to share some of the books that have truly captured my heart so far. There’s nothing quite like cozying up with a good book, perhaps with a coffee with latte art or a chocolate tart, and getting lost in a new world. Here's a deeper dive into why these reads became instant favorites for me! First up, Done & Dusted by Lyla Sage. Oh my goodness, if you're looking for that perfect cowboy romance with a thrilling brothers-best-friend twist, this is it! From the moment I started, I was completely swept away by the charming small-town setting and the undeniable chemistry between the characters. It’s definitely on the spicier side, which I loved, adding an extra layer of excitement to the already compelling story. I’m eagerly awaiting Swift & Saddled after falling head over heels for this one! Then there's The Dagger and the Flame by Catherine Monaghan. This fantasy novel felt so fresh and unique compared to many others I’ve read. While Fourth Wing still holds a special place in my heart, The Dagger and the Flame offered such a captivating enemies-to-lovers dynamic with twists I absolutely did not see coming. The world-building was immersive, and I found myself constantly theorizing about what would happen next. It's a fantastic pick if you're craving a fantasy story that keeps you on your toes. For something truly heartwarming, Nora Goes off Script by Annabel Monaghan was a delightful surprise. A friend recommended it, and I literally couldn't put it down. It’s one of those books that just makes you feel good, offering a sweet and charming escape. Nora's journey is so relatable and inspiring, and I flew through the pages, finishing it with a huge smile on my face. If you need a feel-good story that brightens your day, this is it. And finally, This Woven Kingdom by Tahereh Mafi. I've actually read the first three books in this series now, and this particular installment really solidified my love for the entire saga. The intricate world-building, compelling characters, and the blend of fantasy and romance are just masterful. It truly is my favorite of the series so far, and knowing that the fourth book is coming out later this year has me buzzing with anticipation. If you enjoy epic fantasy series with a touch of magic and intricate plots, now’s the perfect time to dive in! Beyond these fantastic reads, my radar is always on for new book releases in 2025! While I'm still catching up on my TBR list, I'm especially excited for upcoming romance and fantasy novels. I'm hoping for more diverse voices in romance, fresh takes on classic tropes, and fantasy worlds that push the boundaries of imagination. I also enjoy dipping into mystery thrillers, always looking for that next gripping read that keeps me guessing. Keep an eye out for those big announcements and debut authors; 2025 promises to be another amazing year for books! I'd love to hear what new releases you're looking forward to in any genre!
