On the other hand, chemical sunscreens absorb UV rays and convert them into heat, releasing it from the skin. They usually feel lighter on the skin, blend more easily without leaving a residue, and are often preferred under makeup or for everyday cosmetic elegance. One thing to keep in mind is they need about 15-20 minutes to become effective after application, which is important if you're stepping outside right away.
