"In early 2010, six years after my initial Kundalini awakening, I had another intense Kundalini rising. It was nowhere as powerful as the first rising since that was a once-in-a-lifetime activation. However, to my surprise, the Kundalini energy rose through my spine into my Crown and expanded my consciousness further. I believe that the hard work I had put in with Magick, combined with the fact that I was no longer invoking outside energy into my Aura, stimulated my Kundalini to reactivate and remove any blockages I had after the initial awakening. Perhaps I did not awaken all the petals of Sahasrara Chakra during the initial Kundalini awakening, and this second rising served to open the Crown Lotus fully. Doing so completed the circuit of the Kundalini energy and opened up a new, essential Chakra at the top back of the head called the Bindu. At first, I was undergoing a very intense fire inside me, which was more unbearable than ever. Ingesting food became an issue since it made the fire stronger, so I lost twenty pounds in the first month after the second rising. However, I did perceive an even higher sense of consciousness, and my psychic abilities were heightened. What's most important is that I now started to function on intuition alone and was in a constant state of inspiration that is impossible to describe. Along with this constant inspiration, I started to feel out of my body in my waking life, and strange things began to occur. I felt a numbness in my whole physical body, which has become a permanent part of my life. When I apply an ice pack on my skin, I cannot feel the cold, but it feels entirely numb. It is as if the Kundalini gave my body a permanent shot of novocaine, a numbing agent..." CONTINUED IN COMMENTS-Excerpt from "Serpent Rising: The Kundalini Compendium" by Neven Paar

... Read moreHaving personally navigated the path of Kundalini awakenings, I can attest to the profound impact such experiences have on both body and mind. The account of a second Kundalini rising, as described, resonates deeply with what many practitioners encounter after their initial awakening—an unfolding process rather than a single event.
What struck me most was the mention of the Bindu chakra activation. This lesser-known chakra, located at the top back of the head, is often overlooked but plays a critical role in sustaining advanced states of consciousness. For me, focusing meditation practices on this area helped stabilize my energy flow and brought a new depth to my spiritual awareness.
The intense internal fire and physical sensations like numbness or insensitivity to cold, described here, are classic signs of the Kundalini clearing blockages along the energy channels (nadis). Managing these sensations requires gentle self-care, such as grounding exercises, warming foods, and sometimes modifying diet to ease discomfort.
Psychically, functioning on intuition alone and experiencing continuous inspiration is a rare gift that often accompanies these experiences. I found journaling and creative expression immensely helpful to channel this continuous flow positively. It also helped me stay connected to my everyday reality during moments of physical disconnection or aura shifts.
Moreover, understanding the roles of Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna nadis—as the text’s image content suggests—is crucial. These energy channels balance dual forces within our system; awakening Kundalini energy travels through the Sushumna, aligning and harmonizing both Ida and Pingala. Practices like kundalini yoga and meditation targeting these nadis support smooth ascension and energy integration.
From my own journey, this second awakening is not just about heightened spiritual states but integrating these energies into daily living. Persistence, self-awareness, and respectful listening to your body’s signals are essential. For those undergoing similar experiences, I recommend seeking guidance from experienced teachers and engaging in community practices that honor Kundalini’s powerful transformational nature.
Ultimately, this deepened Kundalini rising completes an energy circuit that fosters unity of mind, body, and spirit, encouraging us to live inspired and aligned with our highest self.
