✨Little memories✨
Sparrow is my 8 year old Quarter Horse. We bought him in an auction and he turned out to be the best horse ever. He can be a little spicy but what chestnut horses aren’t. He loves running and has been an amazing horse to teach. I’ll do a more in depth next about Sparrow
When we first saw Sparrow at the auction, there was just something about him. He was an 8-year-old Quarter Horse, and honestly, buying a horse from an auction can be a gamble. But with Sparrow, it felt different. He had this spark in his eye, a hint of mischief mixed with genuine curiosity. We took the leap, and it’s been the best decision ever since. He’s definitely got that classic chestnut 'spiciness' – if you know horses, you know what I mean! One time, we were just trotting along, and suddenly, he decided it was the perfect moment for a little buck. It wasn't mean-spirited, just his way of saying, 'Hey, remember I'm a horse with opinions!' It completely caught me off guard, but we just laughed it off. Those little quirks are what make him, well, him. They teach you patience and a deeper understanding of these magnificent creatures. Teaching Sparrow has been an absolute joy. He's incredibly intelligent and eager to learn, which makes every training session rewarding. We've worked on everything from refining his leads to simply enjoying quiet trail rides. He picks things up so quickly, and there's nothing quite like the feeling of forming that perfect partnership in the arena or out in the fields. His favorite thing, though, is definitely running. When he gets to stretch his legs, it’s pure exhilaration. You can feel the power and joy radiating from him as he gallops across the pasture, mane and tail flying. It's moments like those when I truly feel alive, just riding alongside him, feeling the wind in my hair. He’s more than just a horse; he’s a companion, a teacher, and a best friend. Every day with him is a new adventure, and I wouldn't trade our memories for anything. You really should capture the moment when you’re with your animals, because these stories are what you'll cherish forever. Sometimes I look back and think about how quickly time flies, how our baby Sparrow isn't a baby anymore, but he's still full of life and lessons. All those stories that we’ve made, they're etched into my heart. He truly is the best horse ever, and I’m so excited to share even more in-depth stories about our life together soon. Stay tuned for more of Sparrow's adventures!
