Celebrated White Cane Day by trading my regular shoes for some ski boots! 🎿💕 October 15th is White Cane Safety Day. It’s a day to recognise the independence & achievements of blind & visually impaired people & the white cane’s role as a tool for safe, independent navigation. What better way

Even service dogs have places they aren’t automatically allowed to go & places of worship are one example. 🐾 Religious organizations are exempt from the ADA’s Title III requirements, including service animal access (although state laws may provide additional protections). For The Church of Je

Another day, another obstacle Triton refuses to let me walk into. 😂💕 On our way to run an errand, Triton stopped to let me know something was blocking our path. I couldn’t tell exactly what it was, but I knew his stop meant we couldn’t safely keep going that way. So I told him to “Find a way.

Why are there so many stairs?! 😭😂 Forget Bowser—the real final boss of Super Nintendo World was climbing multiple flights of stairs. Thankfully, Triton guided me up every step like the little professional he is. Meanwhile, I was just behind him questioning who designed this level. 🍄⭐️ #blin

Sometimes the guide dog needs a break… but that doesn’t mean the adventures have to stop 👩🏻‍🦯✨🏔️ While my mom & Triton took a little break, I decided I still wanted to ride the Matterhorn — so I grabbed my cane & headed off on my own! Did I get a little turned around along the way? Absolutely

What you see vs. What I see 👀 Blindness isn’t all or nothing. It’s a spectrum. I often hear, “But you don’t look blind,” or “You can see a little, can’t you?” The answer is yes… & that’s exactly the point. The second clip is a pretty close representation of how I see the world. I can m

🎬 Boarding & deboarding the Jungle Cruise with a guide dog! 🌿🛶 One of the questions I get asked most at Disney is, “How do rides work with a guide dog?” So here’s a little peek at what it looks like! For Jungle Cruise, Cast Members guided us to the loading area, helped us board safely, & I ma

“We got stopped by Disneyland security…” 👀 …& it turned out to be a great example of how businesses should interact with a service dog team. When we arrived at Disneyland, a security Cast Member stopped us before the security checkpoint to ask the two questions businesses are legally allowed
