GUYS IM SO EXCITED 🤓💎🪐#architecture #jewelrydesigner
Embarking on a journey from architecture to jewelry design has been a thrilling and deeply fulfilling experience for me. Combining the precision and creativity I honed in architectural studies with the tactile artistry of jewelry making has opened up a new world of possibilities. Transitioning from designing large-scale structures to crafting delicate, personal pieces like rings involves a shift in scale and technique, but the fundamental design principles remain the same. One thing I've learned is the importance of creating a conducive workspace that fosters creativity and focus. Putting on my headphones and entering a state of flow while sketching has dramatically enhanced my productivity. It really helps to disconnect from outside distractions and immerse myself fully in the design process. Balancing jewelry classes with a full-time job requires efficient time management. Preparing quick meals like dumplings with edamame and planning my schedule in advance ensures I can pursue my passion without feeling overwhelmed. Even getting lost in new studio spaces can lead to unexpectedly inspiring experiences! Working with my hands again after time in architecture feels incredibly rewarding. There is something special about seeing a sketch come to life as a casted ring, especially knowing that every detail reflects hours of thoughtful design. This hands-on process enriches my understanding of materials and form, deepening my appreciation for craftsmanship. By merging my architectural knowledge with jewelry design, I am excited to create pieces that embody structure, elegance, and personal expression. I look forward to sharing more creations and continuing this creative adventure, and I hope my experiences can inspire others considering a similar shift or looking to integrate their passions creatively.
