Things to do in Florida
Orlando Edition
Soo last week I returned from my trip to Orlando. I had a blast. I’ve probably been 20 times but I always find something new to fall in love with !
When people think of Orlando they usually think of Disney. We definitely went to Magic Kingdom but that is beside the point. We did a bunch of other fun stuff too .
Here’s some places you must see !
✨Pointe Orlando
✨WonderWorks
✨Magic Kingdom
✨Dezerland Park Auto Show
✨Pinball Palace
✨Universal’s City Walk
✨World’s Food Trucks

So glad to hear you had a blast in Orlando! It's so true that this city has so much more to offer than just theme parks. I've been countless times myself, and every weekend trip feels like a new adventure. If you're looking for things to do in Orlando Florida beyond the castles, here are some of my personal tips and why I love these spots, perfect for anyone planning their next getaway. You mentioned Pointe Orlando and Universal's CityWalk – these are absolute gems, especially if you're looking for vibrant nightlife and diverse dining options. CityWalk, for example, isn't just about Universal Studios; it’s a whole entertainment district. I love grabbing dinner there, catching a live band, or even just people-watching. Pointe Orlando offers a similar vibe with great restaurants, comedy clubs, and even an escape room. These places are fantastic for adult entertainment in Orlando, offering a different kind of fun after a day at the parks or exploring other attractions. WonderWorks is always a trip! It’s one of those unique Orlando attractions that’s fun for all ages, but I especially enjoy it for a quirky afternoon activity. The interactive exhibits are genuinely mind-bending. And Pinball Palace? What a cool find! It’s perfect for a bit of nostalgic fun and friendly competition. These spots really highlight the variety of activities in Orlando FL that aren't just rollercoasters. Dezerland Park's Auto Show is another must-see place in Orlando if you're into cars or just appreciate cool displays. It’s huge and has something for everyone, even beyond the auto show, like karting! And speaking of variety, World’s Food Trucks is a fantastic way to experience diverse culinary delights. It's one of my go-to places to go in Orlando for a casual, delicious meal – you can find everything from tacos to crepes, often in a lively outdoor setting. It's a great example of an aesthetic place near me for a casual bite. For those 'locations near me' searches, I always recommend checking out the local springs around Orlando. Places like Wekiwa Springs State Park offer crystal-clear waters for swimming, kayaking, or just relaxing – a perfect escape from the city bustle, especially during a hot Florida weekend. Another often-overlooked gem for activities in Orlando is exploring the charming neighborhoods like Winter Park. It’s packed with boutique shops, art galleries, and beautiful parks, making it a great option for a more serene 'things to do in Orlando Florida' experience. If you’re looking for 'things to do near me' that are a bit more off the beaten path, consider a visit to a local farmers market or a community event. Websites and local tourism apps are fantastic for discovering these 'hidden' spots and making your Orlando trip uniquely yours. Ultimately, Orlando is so much more than just theme parks. Whether you're planning a full vacation or just a quick weekend getaway, there are countless fun things to do and must-see places to explore. From thrilling entertainment to relaxing natural beauty and delicious food, every visit can uncover something new. What will you discover on your next Orlando adventure?
