3 Florida Springs to Visit!๐Ÿ’งโ˜€๏ธ

3 Florida springs to visit this year! Save this to refer back to later!! โ˜€๏ธ

1. Ginnie Spring ๐Ÿ’ง

Ginnie springs is so fun! Itโ€™s a huge park with several springs and they are so pretty! The water is a gorgeous blue and itโ€™s fun to swim in and float in on a tube! They have scuba diving there and itโ€™s also fun to just dive down and see the spring! This spring is a little pricier and it can get crowded but it is gorgeous!

2. Ichetucknee Springs ๐Ÿ›ถ

This river is so fun to tube down! You can rent a single or double tube and float down! Itโ€™s a great family activity or place to go with a group of friends. The water is clear and beautiful and thereโ€™s so much to see as you float along the river. A trolley picks you up at the end and takes you back to the start which is so nice. The tube rental is very affordable which is nice too! Definitely check this one out!

3. Blue Springs โ˜€๏ธ

This spring is smaller definitely less popular but itโ€™s less crowded and touristy because of that! You can relax and enjoy the gorgeous blue water and beautiful scenery while you swim and float here! Thereโ€™s plenty of space at the park to set up a little spot for the day!

Florida

... Read moreAs a Florida resident, I've spent countless weekends exploring our state's incredible natural springs, and let me tell you, they are truly magical! What makes these springs so special? They're fed by the Floridan Aquifer, constantly pushing out crystal-clear, 72-degree Fahrenheit water year-round. This natural filtration creates those stunning clear blue waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling that you see in all the pictures! Beyond the three amazing spots I mentioned, let's dive deeper into some other experiences, especially for those of you searching for "natural springs central Florida" or specific activities like "ginnie springs kayaking." Ginnie Springs: More Than Just Swimming! You know Ginnie Spring is a huge park, but "Ginnie big" also means there's so much more to do! While scuba diving and floating are popular, kayaking is another fantastic way to see the spring. Picture yourself paddling through those clear blue waters, maybe even spotting some underwater life from your kayak. I found that getting there early helps beat the crowds, especially if you're planning a full day of activities like kayaking or paddleboarding. The vibrant views from the water are truly unforgettable, making it one of the most comprehensive spring experiences in Florida. Tubing Beyond Ichetucknee: Discover Rainbow River! If you enjoyed the family-friendly tubing experience at Ichetucknee Springs, then "tubing on Rainbow River" should definitely be next on your list! Located near Dunnellon, Rainbow River offers a gentle, scenic float down one of Florida's most pristine rivers. What I love about Rainbow is its incredible clarity and abundant wildlife โ€“ you might spot otters, turtles, and a huge variety of fish. It has a slightly different vibe than Ichetucknee, often feeling a bit more spread out and tranquil. The water is just as refreshing, and it's another perfect spot for a leisurely day with friends or family. Remember to bring your own tube or rent one nearby! Finding Your 'Cool Spring': Rock Springs at Kelly Park For those seeking another "cool springs Florida" experience, I highly recommend Rock Springs Run at Kelly Park in Apopka. This is a local favorite and truly feels like a hidden gem. You can launch your tube right from the "rock springs" headspring and gently float down a winding, shallow creek. The scenery is absolutely beautiful with lush foliage overhead, and it's incredibly refreshing on a hot Florida day. Itโ€™s less about deep diving and more about a relaxing, natural lazy river experience. It can get busy, so arrive early, especially on weekends, to secure your spot. The entrance fee is super affordable, making it a budget-friendly option for a fantastic day out! A Few More Tips for Your Spring Adventure: No matter which spring you choose, always remember to respect the environment. Avoid sunscreen with harmful chemicals, as they can damage the delicate ecosystem. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and a waterproof phone case! And if you're into snorkeling, every single one of these springs offers incredible visibility for spotting fish and turtles. Happy spring hopping!
