Another Cute Vintage Shop | Williamsburg, Brooklyn
Brooklyn is the best place to thrift! If Bushwick is number 1, Williamsburg is a close second.
This weekend I stumbled across Dobbin St Vintage Co-op . Though the exterior is simple , the inside is full of magic. The cutest vintage furniture I have ever seen. ( Do you see that chair? COME ON) . There also was tons of glassware, clothes, scarves, and other trinkets .
The staff was super warm and welcoming. I’m 1000% coming back . Plus it was super accessible, just a quick walk from the L train at Grand St or Graham Ave

While Bushwick gets a lot of love for its thrifting scene, Williamsburg truly holds its own as a paradise for unique discoveries. It's not just about finding secondhand clothes here; it's about uncovering pieces that tell a story, whether it's a vibrant textile, a quirky piece of decor, or that perfect statement furniture item you didn't even know you needed.
What I adore about vintage shopping here is the sheer variety and quality. You might walk into a place expecting just clothes and suddenly be surrounded by an eclectic collection of furniture – think gorgeous wooden tables, charming wicker chairs, or even a plush, pink tufted armchair that looks straight out of a magazine! And let's not forget the smaller treasures: beautiful glassware perfect for entertaining, interesting framed art, stacks of old books with fascinating titles (like that 'Primmakers Great Prints' one I spotted!), and racks bursting with colorful vintage clothing. It’s like every corner you turn reveals something new and exciting, a true blend of 'trash and treasure' waiting to be rediscovered.
My top tip for thrifting in Williamsburg? Take your time! It's definitely not a quick grab-and-go kind of shopping. Allow yourself to wander, dig through racks, and really look closely at everything. Sometimes the most incredible finds are tucked away in unexpected spots. Don't be afraid to try things on, even if they don't look like much on the hanger – that's where the magic transformation happens! Also, keep an open mind. You might go in looking for one thing, but leave with something entirely different and even more amazing. I’ve learned that the best vintage scores often happen when you least expect them, making the hunt all the more thrilling.
The vibe in Williamsburg’s vintage scene is just so cool and authentic. Many of these shops, especially the co-ops, have such a welcoming atmosphere, almost like stepping into a friend's incredibly stylish living room. The staff are often fellow vintage lovers who are genuinely excited to help you find your next gem, sharing stories about items or offering styling tips. Plus, the convenience of getting around is a huge bonus; with the L train stopping at Grand St or Graham Ave, it’s super easy to hop from one spot to another and make a whole day of vintage exploration. You can spend hours sifting through curated collections, always finding something to spark your interest.
Whether you're decorating a new apartment, hunting for a unique outfit for a special occasion, or just love the thrill of the chase, Williamsburg offers an unparalleled vintage shopping experience. Every visit feels like a little adventure, and I always leave feeling inspired and usually with a fantastic new (old!) piece in hand. Trust me, once you start exploring the incredible array of vintage stores in this vibrant Brooklyn neighborhood, you'll understand why it's such a beloved destination for anyone who appreciates the charm, history, and sustainability of vintage.
