Going back to the legend of the Round Table Knights, an interesting story is found in that many knights do not encounter the Grail by physical travel alone, many receive visions, or experience the presence of the Grail in a way that is not visual through the normal senses.

This makes the remark that, perhaps, the Grail is not an object of importance because of itself, but of importance because it represents.

In Christianity, the blood of Christ does not mean blood in the physical sense alone, but symbolizes life, sacrifice, redemption, and the connection between man and God.

Symbolically, the Grail is just a vessel, and what is inside is the essence of the story.

This idea is particularly interesting considering the work of Arthur Edward Waite, the designer of the Rider-Waite Tarot and drawn by Pamela Colman Smith.

What the warlocks care about doesn't seem to be finding the Grail as an antique, but understanding what the Grail symbolizes.

Judging from his writings, it is found that the interests in Grail, Kabbalah and Tarot clearly share a common ground: the study of the journey of the human soul.

In Kabbala, humans travel through the structure of the Tree of Life to learn and develop an understanding of themselves and the universe.

In Tarot, The Fool's journey through the 22 Major Arcana cards is a journey through experience, decision-making, loss, understanding and change.

In the Grail legend, the Round Table Knights themselves set out through various tests to find what was called the Holy Grail.

Despite the different formats, the structure of the story is noteworthy in reverse.

When considering the concept of the Tree of Life in Hermetic, Qabalah will find that the path of spiritual development is not caused by choice, just one side of life; the tree of life consists of the Pillar of Mercy and the Pillar of Severity, which constantly act as counterbalances, while the Middle Pillar (Middle Pillar) is the path of balance that joins everything together.

The journey on the Tree of Life is therefore not to escape the dark side to aim for the bright side, but to learn to understand both sides and strike a yin-yang-like balance.

This concept is reflected in the myth of finding the Holy Grail as well. Many round table knights set out to find the Grail, but not everyone will have access to it. The difference lies not in strength or fighting ability alone, but in the level of self-understanding and internal change during the journey.

When examining the concept of the Tree of Life within Hermetic Qabalah, we find that spiritual development is not achieved by choosing only one side of life while rejecting the other. The Tree of Life consists of the Pillar of Mercy and the Pillar of Severity, which continuously balances one another. Between them stands the Middle Pillar, providing the path of equilibrium that connects all aspects of existence.

The journey along the Tree of Life is therefore not about escaping darkness in pursuit of light. Instead, it is about learning to understand both aspects and bringing them into balance, much like the concept of Yin and Yang.

This idea is reflected in the legends of the Holy Grail as well. Many knights set out in search of the Grail, yet not all were able to reach it. The difference was not only strength or skill in battle, but their level of self-understanding and the inner transformation that occurred throughout the journey.
