Big sis advice Pt. 2
In my personal journey, I’ve found that feeling like an imposter is surprisingly common, especially when stepping into new roles or challenges. The term “imposter syndrome” perfectly captures that nagging self-doubt that makes you question whether you truly belong or deserve success. What’s helped me tremendously is allowing myself to feel that discomfort without letting it stop me. It’s okay to feel unsure or ‘not ready’ at times—that feeling itself is part of growth. Taking care of yourself comes first. Self-care isn’t just a buzzword; it’s essential when facing moments of insecurity. Whether that means setting boundaries, journaling to release negative thoughts, or simply taking breaks, nurturing your mental and emotional health strengthens your resilience. One piece of advice I cherish is to dare to take on challenges, even if they seem ridiculous at first—because what feels absurd now may be the breakthrough you need. We often underestimate how much courage it takes just to try something new, but every small step adds up. Remember, your worth doesn’t depend on external validation. Trust that your heart and your unique path matter. Rather than comparing yourself to others, focus on your progress and celebrate your small victories. When imposter syndrome strikes, acknowledge it, then keep moving forward with the knowledge that feeling uncertain is natural—and that means you are pushing your boundaries and growing.
