Handling your worst objection in sales for you

2025/9/16 Edited to

... Read moreFrom my experience in insurance sales, one of the toughest objections is when a client insists on a better price elsewhere. Instead of immediately defending your price, I’ve found that agreeing with the client’s concern and acknowledging their effort in doing homework builds trust. Praise them for being informed and show empathy about their pain points. After gaining their trust, the key is to dive deeper and revisit if the competitor’s offer really solves all their needs or if gaps exist. Highlighting how your solution addresses those gaps strengthens your value proposition and makes it clear why choosing you is the better long-term decision. Also, keep in mind that rushing to counter objections without understanding the client’s core issues often kills the sale. Take your time to listen carefully, ask open questions to explore their concerns fully, and use those insights to tailor your approach. This mindset shift in handling objections has not only increased my closing rates but also built stronger client relationships. If you want to thrive, focus on empathy and value rather than just price battles. It’s about genuinely solving problems, not just selling a policy.

Bio-globe Singapore's Morning Leadership Training❤
This morning’s session at Bio-globe Singapore was all about one of my favourite skills to teach objection handling. For me, sales training isn’t just about closing. It’s about: Listening with intent and purpose Staying calm under pressure Turning “no” into trust I believe leadership

How to Say No to a Wellness Package Sales Pitch
My only luxury in life is that, every weekend, I treat myself to a one-hour body massage. Perhaps because it’s the F1 weekend in Singapore, many people in my neighborhood are not going to town, and the massage place that I patronize weekly is fully booked. Undeterred, I visit a massage place

Dealing with poor sales? You need to nerd out.
🥲 We hate to say this but hard work alone is not enough. 🤔 Sometimes it helps to take a step back and identify other areas you can work on. 🤗 If you have any other business tips that you swear by, do share them with us in the comments! 🔗 Lnk. Bio: Life's a Link #lemon8tech #lnkbio #n

Confession
Most people get annoyed by objections like these (we do too) and they often let the call slide, losing the prospect. You never know who your next rich prospect might be or when your next $100K APE appointment might happen. Every call it’s important. Every prospect matters.
