Buddy vacuums up 5-6 grapes that rolled off the table.

"MOM! Grapes are toxic to dogs!"

"Oh please. Everything's toxic according to the internet."

"We need to get him to throw up!"

"You're ruining lunch with this nonsense." 🙄

Googling frantically. Showing her article after article.

"Kidney failure." "Death." "EMERGENCY."

"Those are probably fake stories for clicks." 😡

I wanted to leave. Take Buddy myself.

But it's her dog. Her house. Her rules.

I'm just the "hysterical daughter."

6pm: Buddy seems fine. Mom's smug.

"See? Drama for nothing."

Monday 9am: She calls me crying.

Buddy won't eat. Won't drink. Can't pee.

NOW she wants to go to the vet. 😭

Acute kidney failure. Too late.

Values through the roof. Suffering.

Had to make THE decision. 💔

The vet's exact words to my mom:

"Activated charcoal within the first hour would have saved him.

It binds to toxins before they destroy organs."

Then she pulled out a tube from the cabinet:

"This is PawMergency. Same thing we use here.

Every home needs this. Grapes, chocolate, THC, medications.

Being prepared isn't paranoid. It's responsible." 😰

Mom bought three tubes that day.
