A good life doesn't mean a good person or a good person.
A good life. It doesn't have to be above anyone.
We may have heard stories about people who want to live better than others, who want to be richer, more prominent, more loved and respected, to the point of thinking about how to make another person fall, to make themselves look taller.
One of the more interesting things to think about than the mystery of these stories is why people have to make other people's lives worse to make themselves feel better.
Indeed, living better than anyone should not be a license for us to encroach on anyone, and living worse than anyone should not be a reason for us to harm others either.
A good life can mean having a good job, having an adequate income, having a warm home, having a loving family, or having more opportunities than anyone else, but those things are not always a guarantee that the owner of the life is a "good person."
One person may have a good life, but instead speak insultingly of another.
It may succeed, but instead prefers to tease people with less.
There may be everything ready, but always compare yourself to others.
On the other hand, a person who does not have a luxurious life, does not have much money, or does not succeed in the way that society praises, does not mean that he is a bad person.
Because "good life" and "good habits" are different.
And perhaps the more admirable thing than a good life is that one person has a good life and does not forget to be a good person.
When there is more, there is no need to insult the lesser.
When successful, there is no need to make others feel inferior.
When happy, there is no need to afflict anyone to confirm their happiness.
Because if our happiness were to be lower than us, it would be unsettling.
On the other hand, if we build our lives by means of professions, work honestly, do not exploit anyone, live by our own strength, know enough, and do not compare our lives to others, we can gradually build a good life by our own factors.
No need to compete for anyone
No need to press anyone
No tricks required.
You don't have to knock anyone down to get yourself taller.
Because success by defeating others may make us look taller in the eyes of others, but it does not make us taller from the inside.
Each person's life is unequal in cost, has not the same pace, and has its own path, some walk fast, some walk slow, some take more time to get to what they want.
We don't have to win everyone.
Just don't hurt anyone on the way.
Don't exploit anyone to give themselves an advantage.
Not using other people's suffering as a ladder to get yourself higher.
And also maintain integrity and compassion.
This is a proud life.
Because ultimately, a good life may not mean a life beyond others.
But it could mean
"A life where we live comfortably without causing anyone trouble to make ourselves happy."
There is a lot of carelessness.
There is little, too, not jealous.
There's a chance, honestly, take that opportunity.
And wherever we are in life, we always choose to speak well, think well, and be good to others.
Because what makes one person the most respectable
Probably not what he has more than anyone else.
But what he wouldn't do, even if he benefited himself. 🌿
