exploring chinatown

... Read moreExploring Chinatown offers more than just sightseeing; it’s a chance to immerse yourself in Singapore's rich heritage and culinary delights. One of my favorite spots is the popular kopi peng stalls, some even featured in the Michelin Guide. These stalls serve affordable yet flavorful iced lemon tea, iced milo, and kopi (coffee) peng that locals swear by. While wandering, do check out the colorful pink wall—an Instagram hotspot that captures the playful spirit of Chinatown. For those craving authentic local flavors, the char kway teow here is a must-try; it represents the perfect blend of smoky, sweet, and savory tastes all in one plate. Beyond food, Chinatown boasts a vibrant mix of old and new architecture, with traditional shophouses lining the streets alongside modern cafes. Don’t miss the chance to visit the nearby Are Centre, a community space hosting events celebrating local art and culture. To truly enjoy Chinatown, stroll through its bustling streets during both day and night. In the evening, the area transforms with glowing lanterns and street performances, enhancing the cultural atmosphere. Whether you’re a foodie, history buff, or casual explorer, Chinatown offers enriching experiences that capture the heart of Singapore.

Your sign to head down to Chinatown!!
Matching jagua tattoos + café hopping = perfect date idea 💫 Tried this TikTok-famous jagua tattoo spot and it was such a fun experience. My design was $10 >< a bit pricey for the size, but the artist was very skilful and quick. Tattoo lasts around 3 weeks, which makes it worth it. 📍 335
