Ngl, hiking through the rain and dodging ponding areas was tough 🌧️🙃. But getting a front-row seat to these fellas made every step worth it.
We headed out to Dove Lake and Ronny Creek expecting a scenic walk, but Tassie winter weather had other plans. Despite the freezing rain and flooded paths, the wildlife did not disappoint. We ended up spotting wombats along the boardwalk! And at Rangers Station.
💡The wombats mostly hang out far away in the button grass, but if you’re patient on the walking tracks, you might get lucky enough to have one wander right up to you like this little guy did. Definitely pack waterproof gear if you're visiting Cradle Mountain in the colder months! 🐻🌾
