🇸🇬 NDP Preview 2 — It Felt More Like a Concert Than a Parade! ✨
Finally got tickets to NDP Preview 2 and it was such an amazing experience!
We arrived early and were told queueing would only start at 4:30 PM, so we headed to Kallang Wave Mall to walk around and grab some food first.
But when we came out at around 4 PM… the queue was already insanely long! 😱 Everyone was clearly excited to get in early.
Even before entering, there was so much to see. We spotted the military robot dog, and later watched helicopters flying overhead carrying the giant Singapore flag 🇸🇬. The National Day atmosphere was already in full swing.
Once inside the stadium, I was completely blown away.
This year’s NDP felt less like a traditional parade and more like a massive concert production:

✨ Interactive LED wristbands/light sticks for the audience
✨ Incredible lighting effects
✨ Music, visuals and crowd participation all perfectly synced
When the lights went down and the whole stadium lit up together, it honestly felt like a Coldplay concert. The sea of lights was stunning.
The parade segment was impressive as always, but the performances, visuals and stage effects were on another level this year. Seeing tens of thousands of people waving flags and lighting up the stadium together was a special moment.
Definitely one of the best NDP experiences I’ve had. ❤️🇸🇬

While photos and videos capture some magic, they hardly do justice to the expansive light displays and communal energy felt in person. Additionally, the Kallang Wave Mall nearby offers a convenient spot to explore and refuel with food and refreshments before the event.
