I wasn’t expecting today to be anything special… but my boss truly made me feel appreciated in the best way 🥹🥰
Not only did she surprise me with a super sweet “HR Diva” mug, pen, and notebook, but she also gave me a personalized shirt and jacket with my name on it—and then took the whole team out for lunch. We went out for hibachi and sushi, and it was such a good time 🍱✨
On top of that, she gave me the kindest handwritten card that lowkey almost made me tear up 🥲
The recognition meant so much because I really do try to give my all every day. Being in undergrad while working in HR isn’t always easy, but moments like this make it all worth it.
I love what I do. I love my team. And I love that I’m in a space where my hard work is seen, valued, and celebrated. It’s easy to feel overworked or overlooked sometimes, especially when you’re early in your career—but this reminded me why I chose HR in the first place: to pour into people. And now I get poured into, too 🫶🏽
