Where to stay in Kuta Lombok

Hey Peeps!!

Since Lombok is now a go-to destination, here is the villa i would recommend @ Kuta Lombok. (& the massage spot!)

5/5⭐️: Location, it was a 2mins ride away from the cafes and the busy spot of Kuta! Many villa tend to be really deep in the alley however this Villa wasnt as deep or ulu! There is a massage spot right before the alley to the villa (one of the better rated one around Kuta) - its called

📍Matcha!! Solid place btw!

Sorry off track oops- but the masseuse actually focused on the areas you specifically wanted more massage on, for the first half an hour ish (felt like it!) 👀compared to other massage place where despite filling up the “form” on which areas you would prefer to have a massage on, they don’t really do it or pay attention to it! You get to choose between 3 oil & it has a shower in the massage room! ps. The masseuse also washed her hands first before giving me a head massage! (It’s a 5/5⭐️ for me! as usual tea and a biscuit was served after the massage session)

Back to the villa….

5/5⭐️: Price was truly affordable! Booked it through booking.com, 3D2N was only $355 .. Compared to the other villas around which cost around $400~ for 2N

5/5⭐️: Service was great! Prompt replies from the reception through whatsapp! They also will drop you a text asking if you’d want fresh cut tropical in season fruits :) Its FREE!! everyday at 4pm! They will leave it in the fridge if you are out, which was truly lovely! We also rented our bikes from them - Nmax is 180k idr & the Vario is only 100k idr per day!

5/5⭐️: Utilities - The kitchen has a water dispenser! Such a lifesaver !!!!! & yay cold water for the warm weather + we didn’t have to buy tons of bottled water! 😅 It also has cooking oil and pans etc for you to cook :)

Cons: There are insects! especially with the slightly opened area in the toilet (attached to the bedroom, so if you’re in the living area u have to get out and go through by the bedroom to pee hahaha as the toilet is not connected to the kitchen/living area) but the GOOD thing is, they provide Baygon spray and also insect repellent!!

FYI !!

This villa is new, it opened recently at the end of May! (stayed in early June)

Not sure when the constructions are done for certain villa room, but when we stayed, there was still work done for the villa opposite us and a-few more but it didn’t affect us either as there was enough privacy & they provided ear plugs hahaha!! Besides that, there are upcoming villa, in construction now right beside Oasis Dune too which did not bother us.. hope it doesn’t stop you from booking this villa 😆

From my stay, Oasis Dune Villa stood out primarily due to its strategic location—it’s just a short 2-minute ride from all the bustling cafes and attractions, yet it retains a quiet and private vibe not deep in a maze of alleys as many other villas are. What really enhances your stay here is the convenience of having excellent local services nearby. For example, the massage spot called Matcha just before the villa alley was a highlight. Unlike many places where you fill out a general preference form but rarely notice any difference in service, Matcha’s therapists tailor their approach thoughtfully to the areas you want more attention on. Their choice of three oil options, private shower room, and hygienic practices like hand washing before a head massage add to the feeling of genuine care and relaxation. The villa itself is designed with travelers’ needs in mind. The kitchen with a water dispenser was a lifesaver, providing access to chilled water in tropical heat, which helps cut down on plastic waste and extra expenses. Having cooking oil and pans meant I could prepare simple meals, adding flexibility to my stay. I appreciated the excellent communication from the reception team, who responded promptly via WhatsApp and even arranged fresh seasonal tropical fruits each afternoon as a complimentary treat—a small gesture that makes guests feel valued. Their provision of bike rentals at reasonable daily rates gave me freedom to explore the island comfortably. While the villa recently opened at the end of May, ongoing construction nearby was minor and didn't disrupt my experience thanks to provided ear plugs and the villa’s privacy. An honest note about the presence of insects due to the partially open toilet area is important; however, the availability of Baygon spray and insect repellent ensured comfort throughout my stay. Overall, Oasis Dune Villa embodies what many travelers seek: affordability, thoughtful amenities, great location, and access to quality local services like the Matcha massage spot. If you are looking for a cozy, convenient base to explore Kuta Lombok and unwind with delightful massages after a day of adventure, this villa is a highly recommended choice.

Kuta Lombok feels like Bali without the traffic
🌴 Guide to Kuta, Lombok 🏝️✨ Kuta Lombok seriously surprised me — it’s a very walkable area in the South of Lombok, filled with tons of beautiful restaurants and cafes and near to the most stunning beaches 😍 It reminded me of the Canggu / Seminyak area in Bali but without the crowds and traffic.

It was our last night in Lombok and we wanted to stay closer to the airport so we didn’t have to wake up before sunrise. This spot looked comfortable, convenient and honestly, a bit of a steal. It was located in a quiet street, but just 5 minutes walk out you'll have endless options of food, sh
