A slow reading month is still a reading month. 📚🩵

June looked a little different for me. School slowed my reading down, but I still finished two books that I really enjoyed!

I also couldn’t resist adding a few more books to my collection (my TBR keeps growing 😅).

I’m hoping to pick up the pace in July, but no matter what, I’m just happy to keep turning the pages.

What was your favorite read in June?

... Read moreEven when life gets busy, like during school season, maintaining a steady reading habit—even a slower one—can still be deeply rewarding. For instance, I recently tackled "The Scammer" by Tiffany D. Jackson, a thriller packed with twists that kept me guessing until the very last page. Jackson’s ability to keep readers on edge makes her work a must-read for suspense lovers. I found myself second-guessing characters’ motives and eagerly turning pages to uncover the truth. Another standout was "Heart of a Goon" by Jahquel J., a book that took character development to another level. It made me realize how complex relationships in stories can evoke strong emotions; the tension between characters pulled me in, making it difficult to put the book down. This experience reminded me why diverse storytelling matters—it’s those emotional connections that make reading memorable. Despite a slower reading month, I couldn’t resist adding more titles to my ever-growing To-Be-Read (TBR) pile. It’s comforting to know that a paused or reduced pace doesn’t mean losing momentum—it’s about enjoying the journey, no matter how fast or slow. Whether you relate to a packed schedule or simply enjoy savoring each book, embracing your unique reading rhythm is what counts. If you’re looking for motivation to keep reading even during hectic times, try setting small goals like finishing one book a month or dedicating just 15 minutes a day to reading. You might be surprised at how much progress you make, and you’ll likely uncover gems that stay with you long after you’ve closed the cover. What were your favorite reads in June? Sharing recommendations and experiences can make the reading community even more vibrant and supportive.
