Karma fiction, part 2
Part 2: Breaking Point
Three months later, people began to gradually recover the rewards promised by their mothers.
"Brother, is the interest out this month?" The working brother asked the trembling voice.
The mother forced a smile. "I'll transfer it in a week. The system has a little problem."
She kept answering evasively, but the calls started ringing every day.
"Mom, I sent fifty thousand. Where's my money?"
"Don't cheat or I'll report!"
The mother began to lose sleep. She sold some brand-name bags to spin back money, but it wasn't enough to silence everyone.
Until one day the story was exposed to social media.
"Warning! This woman defrauded hundreds of thousands of money!"
It was shared tens of thousands of times. The picture of the mother was taken to abuse in every group.
"Mom cheated, buddy? Really?" I called to ask in a trembling voice.
"Mom, don't mess around! I can handle it!" the mother snapped back tearfully.
The news of her being a chain share spread around.
Her name was branded a "crook." No one trusts it anymore.
