Difficult decision to make every night

If I stay up late,

I will be happy but unhealthy;

If I sleep early,

I will be healthy but unhappy.

So, should I be happy unhealthily;

Or healthy unhappily?

... Read moreThe struggle between choosing happiness through late nights and prioritizing health by sleeping early is something many of us face regularly. From personal experience, I found that neither extreme is sustainable in the long term. Staying up late often brings momentary joy—whether it's catching up with friends, indulging in hobbies, or simply enjoying quiet time—but it inevitably impacts my energy levels and overall health the next day. On the other hand, going to bed early consistently improves my physical wellbeing, increasing my focus and mood positively throughout the day. However, the sacrifice sometimes weighs on my social life and personal satisfaction, leading to feelings of unhappiness or missing out. A helpful approach I discovered is aiming for a balanced bedtime routine: setting a reasonable curfew that allows enough rest while still carving out time for enjoyable activities earlier in the evening. Incorporating mindfulness practices like short meditation sessions or light reading also boosts happiness without compromising sleep quality. Additionally, moderating caffeine and screen exposure in the hours leading up to bedtime contributes significantly to a healthier sleep cycle. Ultimately, the key lies in finding what mix of sleep and activities makes you both happy and healthy. It’s not about choosing one extreme but adapting habits that foster sustainable well-being and joyful living. Listening to your body’s cues and adjusting your schedule accordingly can help resolve this common dilemma of late-night happiness versus early-sleep health.

We rejected every center bombshelter unit. Here's why
Your bombshelter is permanent. You cannot hack it, move it, or remove it. Ever. But where it sits? That controls whether you can even have an open-concept kitchen. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏗️ Why this matters SCDF Civil Defence Shelter Act — the walls, floor, ceiling, and door cannot be touched.

ITE YEAR ONE AT 21 → NOW 23 🤍 an update
This was my very first Lemon8 post. ITE Year One at 21. Back then, I was studying IT Security System Integration. People often say that ITE is the end, but for me, it felt like the beginning even though I did not realise it at the time. Somewhere in 2025, my mental health slowly got better.
