The Yoshino cherry blossoms near Atami Castle were only blooming for 7 minutes at this time 🌸 (Atami cherry blossoms ended earlier in March)

熱海の古屋旅館に泊まると、ただ宿泊するだけでなく、歴史の深さと地域ならではの食文化に触れることができます。朝食には、地元の食材を使った烏賊の塩辛や「清左衛門の湯」で蒸した温泉卵、御殿場地区産コシヒカリのご飯といった、体に優しいメニューが並ぶため、旅の始まりにふさわしい元気が湧いてきます。 旅館の敷地内には、熱海の歴史を伝えるギャラリーがあり、東洲斎写楽の版画や、東郷平八郎ゆかりの品、さらには川島芳子の書や日本一古いラジオなど、歴史愛好家にはたまらない展示物が揃っています。実際に訪れてみると、これらの品に触れながら、地域の豊かな文化遺産を体感できるので、宿泊以外の楽しみも大きいです。 また、古屋旅館の敷地内には約200年の歴史を誇るパワースポット、古屋天満宮があります。そこに祀られている菅原道真公の像や伝説の縁起松「おろち松」は訪れる者に特別なご利益をもたらすかのような神秘的な雰囲気を醸し出しています。このようなスポットを巡りながら心身ともにリフレッシュできるため、旅の目的としてもとてもおすすめです。 私自身も熱海城やサンビーチを散策した際、まだ七分咲きのソメイヨシノの桜を楽しみ、強い風が吹く中で春の息吹を感じられました。温泉入浴後にセカンドロビーでゆっくり読書やワーケーションを楽しみつつ、旅の合間の充実した時間を過ごせるのも魅力のひとつです。 さらに、古屋旅館で使用されている水は丹那湧水から引かれており、飲用にも適した非常に美味しい水です。アメニティは日本発の香り高い丁子染めを使用するなど、細部にわたりおもてなしの心が行き渡っています。熱海温泉の老舗ならではの歴史と文化、食と癒しの融合を体験できる古屋旅館は、心に残る旅の思い出になるはずです。
