You can’t visit Chicago without stopping at Portillo’s. Period. From the moment you walk in, you already know you’re about to have a real Chicago experience. The hot dogs are loaded, the buns are perfectly soft, and everything tastes nostalgic in the best way possible.

I finally tried a classic Chicago-style hot dog and now I understand why people are so serious about it. No ketchup, all the toppings, and so much flavor in every bite. It’s fast, casual, and somehow always hits the spot whether you’re hungry or just craving something iconic. If you’re in Chicago and skip Portillo’s… did you even really go? 🌭✨
