Cortisol is a hormone in the body that gets triggered when you are under a heavy load of stress and can negatively affects us.

It’s the reasons for a lot of bad things that happen to the body, specifically overindulgence in food and overeating sweet salty foods that aren’t really good for us.

But it shouldn’t be the reason we gain body fat or weight.

In fact, cortisol levels can be raised when we are exercising and in a calorie deficit, which are both very necessary for seeing progress on the scale and building that lean muscle we’re looking for.
