... Read moreMany of us experience physical discomfort or pain that doesn't seem to have a clear medical cause. Through personal experience and wellness teachings, I've learned that emotional pain can strongly influence where and how our bodies react. For instance, feelings of invalidation and self-criticism often show up as tension or pain in the head and neck area, while stubbornness and inflexibility might manifest as tightness in the knees or ankles. The shoulders and lungs can become heavy and strained from carrying grief or a sense of unworthiness, reflecting how these emotions weigh us down literally and figuratively. Fear and anxiety tend to affect the abdomen and arms, sometimes making it difficult to embrace change or make important decisions. Moreover, hips and lower back discomfort may symbolize resistance to letting go. Understanding these connections has helped me become more aware of my body’s signals and take steps toward emotional healing, such as mindfulness, gentle movement, and seeking support when emotions feel overwhelming. Recognizing that physical symptoms can stem from emotional roots encourages a compassionate approach to both mental and physical health. By tuning into these signals, we can better support ourselves in releasing emotional burdens and improving overall wellbeing.

This is why you’re NOT Toning Up! 🙁
1️⃣ Increased Metabolic Rate: Weightlifting builds muscle, which requires more energy at rest. This means you burn more calories throughout the day, aiding in long-term fat loss. 2️⃣ Afterburn Effect (EPOC): Intense weightlifting sessions create an Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC)
