Hear this plainly, because the message cuts straight to the heart.
The cry, “God sent me to hell,” is a charge against the righteousness of God—but the truth of Scripture answers back: No. God is not the author of your destruction; He is the provider of your escape.
The Word of God declares in John 3:16 (KJV):
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
That is not the action of a God eager to condemn—but of a God who gave, who loved, who made a way.
And again in John 3:17–18 (KJV):
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already…”
Do you see it? Condemnation is not arbitrarily assigned—it is the result of rejecting the salvation already offered.
God did not prepare hell for man as a destination of desire. The Scripture says in Matthew 25:41 (KJV):
“…everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Yet man enters there by choosing darkness over light. As it is written in John 3:19 (KJV):
“…light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
So the statement stands corrected: Not “God sent me to hell,”
but rather—I refused the way He made to save me.
God sent His Son into suffering, into rejection, into the cross. The crown of thorns, the nails, the blood—these testify that judgment fell on Christ so that mercy could fall on you.
The responsibility, then, is weighty but clear.
Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV) says:
“…I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life…”
This is not a message of despair—it is a call to decision.
God has spoken.
Christ has come.
Salvation has been offered
